PUSHGATE

 PushGate | thiNcoderRT | MagnaMouse | Transparent | Light Bar | Flex-Rocker | Flex-Push | IPS | Rubber Protos

The thin profile PushGate pushbuttons are cost effective and simple in design.  Nothing in the marketplace today comes close to this technology for reliability and  durability. The life test for one of the earliest PushGate switches surpassed  500,000,000 successful actuations. Its crisp, consistent tactile feel does not  degrade over time -- even after half a billion actuations -- differentiating it  substantially from conventional mechanical and membrane switches.

By using the patented Island™ construction design, our PushGate pushbuttons,  thiNcoder™ Rotor and thiNcoder™ Slider switches, and MagnaMouse™  multi-directional control, can all be combined in one flex circuit less than 3mm thick.

This technology is protected by many US and international patents including U.S. Patents 5523730, 5990772 and 6392515.

 CRISP, CONSISTENT TACTILE FEEL

  • Superior tactile feel does not degrade over time or use
  • Set your product line apart from your competition by giving your keypad a high-quality feel

 DURABILITY AND RELIABILITY
 30 MILLION plus actuations
  • Ideal replacement for tact or metal dome switches
  • Impossible to "tease", (Click = Closure)
  • No Bending or flexing parts to fail

 INTEGRATION

  • Easily integrated with other switch products including thiNcoder ™ RT and MagnaMouse ™ product lines
  • Flex circuit or PCB compatible

 SAVES COST

  • By replacing several mecahnical switches with a integrated panel, you can eliminate costly wire harnesses and soldering processes

 VARIOUS OVERLAY OPTIONS

  • Perfect for polyester or elastomer overlays, as well as metal and plastic key caps
  • Can be used in conjunction with another patented concept -- a magnetically coupled removable overlay
 FULL KEY ILLUMINATION OPTIONS
  • Maintains crisp tactile feel with EL, Fiberoptics, and LED backlighting

 HIGH IMPACT CONSTRUCTION AVAILABLE

  • Superior performance where keypads are subject to abuse or vandalism

 LARGE KEYS AVAILABLE

  • Flat panel key specs up to 2" x 3" active key area

 CAN BE ENVIRONMENTALLY SEALED

  • Superior performance in harsh environments
  • Customized Design

 NEW: USE AS N.O. AND/OR N.C. SWITCH

  • Double Output Available

 RAPID ACTUATION RESPONSE

  • Fast actuation capability

 ABLE TO TOLERATE EXTREME TEMPERATURES

 CUSTOMIZED DESIGN OPTIONS

  • Normally closed or open designs
  • Dual output available for redundancy or multi-function switching
  • Multiple armatures and constructions available for various key sizes and spacing
  • The PushGate technology is a great replacement for a mechanical pushbutton switch. When two or more are used in a panel the significant benefits of an integrated solution can be realized.
  • It is an unbeatable technology for applications demanding consistent, strong tactile feedback and high durability. Its favorable characteristics also cause it to be chosen for less demanding applications.
  • Also ideal for devices operated by gloved hands or when thick overlays are required which would dampen the tactile feedback of more traditional switches.
  • Some typical applications include public-use applications (gas pumps, ATMs, POS devices, security/access control equipment), exercise equipment, and transportation/heavy equipment.
