What do we mean by ‘Our People’s Business’?

As an SME, we are formed from a small team of people who have all come from a variety of backgrounds. Each of our employees have different personalities and therefore different ideas about how to do their jobs best. We decided to embark on a journey to create our people’s business, working with our employees to create an empowering environment. To enable each employee to channel their strengths and to shine in a way that benefits them and In2tec.

In early 2022, we started to think about the future of In2tec and the direction we should take as a business, thinking about our people, our teams, and the desire to understand how we make this a ‘GREAT’ company.  A company where everybody engages with the vision and enjoys being part of the journey, this required us to have open minds.

We started the journey by getting everyone together in groups to look at our ‘compelling why’ and understand everyone’s idea of what ‘a GREAT company’ looks and feels like. We then pulled all these ideas together to allow us to ‘mould’ the mission, the strategic objectives, and therefore the strategy so that we can fulfil this vision.

From our ‘blue sky meetings’, we defined four areas of focus to build ‘our people’s business’;   environmental strategy, process review, communication and training, plus culture and working environment, with each area requiring substantial thought, planning and implementation. We want our people to feel empowered, so we chose four team members from different departments to each lead a team.

How are we going to achieve this?

We will achieve our goals of building ‘our people’s business’ by keeping our employees involved, valuing their opinions, talking freely about the culture we want to build and getting them engaged with the thinking for the future of the business.

Ultimately, it’s about putting our people at the heart of everything we do. We still have a way to go on our journey, but by providing meaningful work, offering opportunities for progression and professional development, as well as valuing work-life balance for all employees we are taking big steps in our journey.

Our future goals

Here at In2tec we are all passionate about what we do and we continue to work towards our mission – “We Protect the World for Future Generations by Inspiring Sustainable Electronics” and we will continue to do this through hiring next-generation thinkers, innovators, and entrepreneurs to make sure we are able to meet our goal of ceasing landfill e-waste through 100% recycling of substrates, conductive circuits, and electronic components, via ultra-low energy unzipping patented processes and second-life usage for constituent parts.

Our capabilities – driven by our design philosophy that “nothing is impossible”

At our core, everything we do is underpinned by the belief that “nothing is impossible”. To this end, we have developed a strength that allows us to bring together disparate and often conflicting design requirements, to provide systems and solutions that offer greater efficiency and better ergonomic design, through the breaking down of design and barriers and solving the most-challenging problems.
